Safe & Easy Stain Removal
By healthy1 | April 28th, 2010 | Category: Tips & Tricks | No Comments »Keeping your carpet looking its best can sometimes seem like an endless task. With children and pets on the carpet stains are almost guaranteed. Carpet protector does a great job of creating window of opportunity to clean up spills that could cause a stain on your carpet and also to prevent the stain from becoming permanent. But what about old stains? What about stains that were on the carpet when you moved in, or stains you only noticed after it was too late to blot them up and now your favorite carpet spotter just won’t get the stain out? Obviously chlorine bleach is out of the question not only because it will remove the color from nylon carpet and dissolve wool carpet but because of its many health and environmental safety issues. You can, however, bleach the color out of the stain without risk to your health or the carpet, with a product that you most likely have in your medicine cabinet. Hydrogen peroxide is both safe and effective as a carpet stain remover. Simply pour or spray hydrogen peroxide on the stain and let it dwell. Over a few minutes or maybe a few hours the stain will fade away. This will not work on every stain though but it won’t hurt to try. If the stain doesn’t come out you can always call a professional!
